08/20/10 - Our office has recently acquired the latest technology in the early detection of peripheral arterial disease, also known as PAD or poor circulation. This new technology brings together the podiatrist and the vascular surgeon in an effort to make an early diagnosis and treatment. By working together, we and vascular surgeon can communicate more effectively and quickly thus reducing the possibility of gangrene and limb loss. This is especially important for any patient with a family history of PAD, diabetes mellitus, and especially smokers.

This test is quick, easy and non-invasive. The test is performed in the familiar surroundings of our office and the results are read by the vascular surgeon within 48 hours. Recommendations for treatment are made and communicated back to you the patient.
